Our family just lost 2 hours of our life that we will never get back. Terrible story, terrible movie. There is nothing enjoyable about watching an ill-prepared person attempt to live in the wild for some esoteric hippie ideology. Pure stupidity. And even the Eddie Vedder Tracks were terrible. Everything about this was off-key. Don’t waste your time.

Terrible movie...waste of time to watch a very stupid arrogant boy run away from home without doing his due diligence to learn about being a survivalist !

Amazing movie, the way Chris lived his life is something that more people should realize and understand. Yes, his survival skills were not up to the Alaskan wilderness and he needed to learn how to survive off the grid, however that's not what his story is about. His story is about finding peace with yourself and following your inner compass, living life the way you want to, not how society or others tell you to. The human right to be free, to search for your true self and to love all
