About this movie

It's Halloween and, for Linus, that can only mean one thing: the Great Pumpkin is flying over all the pumpkin patches searching for the most sincere one to reward with treats. Linus will wait in the cold, with Sally and his security blanket to keep him company, hoping the Great Pumpkin will pick his. But where's Charlie Brown? He's busy getting ready for a party with the kids and trying to make the perfect ghost costume -- unfortunately, our favorite blockhead not only gets rocks in his trick-or-treat bag, but he resembles a pumpkin more than a ghost. At least he hasn't gotten his costume dirty like Pig Pen, or been pestered by Lucy like Shroeder. Scary! Fear not, Snoopy is in on the fun too, his aviator goggles firmly in place.

This timeless classic from Charles M. Shultz and Bill Melendez is remastered and features many heartwarming scenes. Also included are the bonus episodes It's Magic, Charlie Brown and Lucy Must Be Traded, Charlie Brown. It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown originally aired on October 27th, 1966 and was nominated for an Emmy Award.

Not really with the hated it, but hoping to catch some attention for people before they buy it. (Because seriously, who is going to give It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown just one star?) The description for this is wrong. I took a gamble that the runtime was inacurate, but nope. There are no bonus episodes. Go buy the version listed under TV. (Unless Google has fixed this. Which I will never know if they have or not... but ah well. Good luck!)

" Also included are the bonus episodes It's Magic, Charlie Brown and Lucy Must Be Traded, Charlie Brown." Um, nope. Not included. So Google should either change the description or add the content. We were watching this for Family Movie & Pizza night, and were disappointed when it ended without the episodes listed. I hesitate to give it five stars, but the episode is a classic and worthy of 5. Just not what's advertised in the description, so four stars for now.

Hey Kendall, the original run time of the television version would have been 25 minutes to allow for commercials. Thankfully it wasn't produced today when a "half hour" show is actually closer to 22 minutes. I grew up with this and A Charlie Brown Christmas, the joy that I have received from watching both great shows over the last 50 years has more than earned the 14.99 price.
