About this movie

Based on the best-selling books by Suzanne Collins, THE HUNGER GAMES is the first film in the franchise. Every year in the ruins of what was once North America, the Capitol of the nation of Panem forces each of its twelve districts to send a teenage boy and girl to compete in the Hunger Games. Sixteen year old Katniss Everdeen volunteers in her younger sister's place and must rely upon her sharp instincts when she's pitted against highly trained Tributes who have prepared their entire lives. If she's ever to return home to District 12, Katniss must make impossible choices in the arena that weigh survival against humanity and life against love.

You would think that with all the money they put into this film for effects they could have at least made the poorest district look like it was. Instead it looks like a farm. Not only this, but one of the key moments in the trilogy happens in this film that shouldnt happen till the middle of Catching Fire. Trust me when i say buy book on android for 1.99 and save urself 3 bucks as well as a much deeper story than this movie can offer

I was really expecting more substance in this film. At no point during the film did I feel scared, sad, anxious nor angry at the bad guys for pitting young kids in a bloody game. I just kept waiting for thing to get more entertaining, but the movie just continued on its dull path. In the end the winners are the ones who make money from this film. I should have invested my money on the books, which is what I'll do. The books should be better. I don't mean to be negative, but the movie was about two and a half hour long. That is time of my life that I'll never get back.

It an old movie 2015 and yes at sometimes it can be rushed but that because it is a long detailed book and if they add all the details slowly there would be like 7 different movies The last book they had to split in half for the movie but I love the storyline. Peeta had loved Katniss since they were 5yrs. but Katniss's best friend, Gale had a crush on her. Then after Katniss and Peeta survive the hunger game it get really WEIRD. and their lives change forever. It just pure amazing.
