About this movie

Writer director Taika Waititi, brings his signature style of humor and pathos to his latest film, JOJO RABBIT, a World War II satire that follows a lonely German boy whose world view is turned upside down when he discovers his single mother is hiding a young girl in their attic. Aided only by his idiotic imaginary friend, Adolf Hitler, Jojo must confront his naive patriotism.

The comedic timing of this film wonderfully co-exists with the telling of serious story which has been brilliantly executed by Taika, cast and crew. JoJo Rabbit will leave you feeling a full range of emotions and is quite the journey. The film is completely respectful of past events and aims its satire at ridiculousness that was the Nazi regime and, of course, Adolf Hitler. Please give this movie a chance: it is smart, charming & one of the better films I have personally seen in a long time.

Creatively and comedically brilliant, this film is not only engaging, but also tells a surprisingly (but brilliantly executed) serious story of a full blown nazi fanatic learning lessons, going through real trauma and more. I cannot recommend watching this enough

Quite a story that's told well, with a great mix of humour and drama set against the backdrop of the insanity of war. Very well acted by all involved made this film highly engaging and will linger with you well after the credits stop.
