About this movie

From acclaimed actress Robin Wright comes her directorial debut Land, the poignant story of one woman's search for meaning in the vast and harsh American wilderness. Edee (Wright), in the aftermath of an unfathomable event, finds herself unable to stay connected to the world she once knew and in the face of that uncertainty, retreats to the magnificent, but unforgiving, wilds of the Rockies. After a local hunter (Demián Bichir) brings her back from the brink of death, she must find a way to live again.

Um filme lindo, paisagens de tirar o folego e de arrepiar. Seu enredo não é algo tão "mirabolesco" assim mas mas a gente se interessar pela história e pelo seus personagens que são cativantes e realmente interessantes. Por mais lindo que o filme seja ou até mesmo comovente, Um Lugar acaba parecendo meio inchado, com cenas que por que sejam incrivelmente belas, seriam facilmente descartadas, a narrativa da uma pista aqui, uma ali, acaba demorando um pouco para falar a que veio. Mas Um Lugar é sim bem construído e por que não, amarradinho? Uma pena que isso ele precise de um começo um pouco arrastado, mas depois da metade, dificilmente você vá querer que ele acabe, e mais provável ainda dele arrancar umas boas lagrimas do seu olho.
