I dare you to watch the first 5 minutes of this film and not start squirming big time. Like, maybe getting too uncomfortable. It's intense. The mood gets set and it doesn't let up. I had so many chemicals rushing through this that after it was over I needed a nap to recover. No. Joke. Being from Texas, the idea of a rodeo themed gore flick had serious appeal so I went for it. I was only concerned that a great idea wouldn't be fully taken advantage of and wasted, as there is so much there to work with if you can nail it. Mission accomplished. I appreciated to comic relief when it came. Some of it was quirky and kinda awkward, which I personally love. I also appreciate the diversity in the cast. I expect we will see more of this director as the whole thing was super well done and weird. I would not be surprised if it gets some kind of cult status. Anyway, my 2 cents.

What a terrifying horror film filled with little bits of comedy gold. The director's sense of humor shines through with each death, only getting more gruesome as the film gets down to it. I really loved this one. I'd recommend it to all horror fans. It's a must watch - you won't be sorry!

Once it sets the scene and get the intro out of the way, Lasso is non-stop anxiety producing awesomeness. What a fun and imaginative cast of characters that come together to survive the night in this epic thriller/ horror movie. Full of camp and humor if you are looking in the right places, Lasso defies stereotypes and genres across the board for a unique take overall. Kills and gore galore for the true horror fans and some soft and sensitive moments for you emos out there. Lasso will have you yelling at the screen and jumping out of your seat!
