Claire works as a bartender in a lawless farm-town, supporting her younger brother and abusive father. When an accident-turned-crime finds her lifeless in the wooded hills, Garett - a mysterious, bearded wanderer - carries her to safety. Weeks later, curiosity drags her back to the woods in search of the hero, only to find him squatting in a makeshift hut on state land.
