I personally found this tedious to watch, but it could just be me. It may be because the style of the film is paying homage to 1930's-ish (or 1940's) type movies, that can be challenging to sit through if you're not it the mood to go back to the depression era. Others may really like it, I can see why it gets good critical reviews and the acting is really good. It's one of the Coen Bros. earlier films I hadn't seen yet, so it's worth watching as a fan of their films in general.
