Gloria (Gina Rodriguez) drives to Tijuana, Mexico, to visit her best friend who is competing in the local “Miss Baja” beauty pageant. During a night out, her friend is abducted and Gloria finds herself a pawn in a dangerous game being played by the CIA, the DEA, and a charismatic yet ruthless cartel kingpin. Finding a power she never knew she had, Gloria plays one organization against the other as she seeks to rescue her friend. Surviving will require all of her cunning, inventiveness and strength. This edge-of-your-seat action thriller is being hailed as a “kick-ass origin story for a new kind of action hero” (Peter Debruge, Variety).

Rodriguez is such a terrible one dimensional actor, I felt like a cardboard cutout could have played her role. Beyond that, the script just doesn't move. If you want a very good movie that has a female playing a kick butt role go check out "Anna". Great acting with a very good script.

I felt like I was watching a movie version of a Fanfic, I felt it was written off a fanfic or something. It seemed kinda phony, and too predictable....It was a very cliche movie. But Gina did an amazing job I'll give it to her, Lino character was kinda good, But jis character seemed kinda....Unreal....But other than that it was "alright"

All you hoes need to shut your mouth. Because you people did not have to go through hours of filming and waking up early. Instead of writing bad reviews, get a life. And dont start trash talking the protagonist Gina she Is an amazing actress. And dont you dare say that Mexicans always get no where, because the truth is we have more balls than your dumb ass.
