In the Motherland, state-run children’s centers raise all citizens, ensuring a fair upbringing and freeing parents from child-rearing burdens. This seemingly utopian system turns into a nightmare for a Motherland enforcer (Miriam Silverman) who uncovers the true identity of a young woman (Emily Arancio) in her care. Defying the system she once upheld, she risks everything to save her, that is, if the Motherland doesn’t stop her first. Also starring Nestor Carbonell and Holland Taylor.
