Watched it a couple times and enjoyed it even more the second time around. In animated movies, you have the flexibility to do what you want and create whatever you want, but in live action, there's a higher standard for most people. The thing to remember is, Disney tried to stay true to the original animated version while still being honest about the asian culture as much as they could, Add a bit of hollywood flare without using too many crazy wire work that typical chinese action movies have, and you have a wonderful and beautiful looking movie. The sets were absolutely amazing and the costumes looked sharp. Almost every A List Chinese Actor you've seen is here. Really well put together. The one thing I would've loved to have seen is another Version of this movie with re-filmed scenes in Mandarin, with English subtitles (rather than a dubbed version).

The original is my 2nd favorite Disney, so I came watching this with hope. I quickly realized this was going to be a different story, adpated, and I decided to have an open mind. I think the people giving it a poor review were watching to judge the movie, writing down every single difference from the original, instead of just accepting a new experience. I enjoyed watching a more "realistic" take on the story. It wasn't perfect, hence 4 stars, but I enjoyed it very much. Thank you Disney 🙏

Absolute trash. When the original Disney adaptation was fun, light, and playful, this re-make does not live up to its shadow. Characters were cut just to be replaced with an additional villain that served no purpose to the story. Arguably, it may look pretty, but holds no other charm. Disney magic is nowhere to be found.
