In MUSIC entführt uns Weltstar SIA in die ganz besondere Welt der gleichnamigen Protagonistin, die von ihrer liebevollen Großmutter großgezogen wird. Der geordnete, von festen Abläufen bestimmte Alltag der autistischen Music wird auf den Kopf gestellt, als ihre Halbschwester Zu nach dem plötzlichen Tod der Großmutter wieder in ihr Leben tritt. Zu ist Alkoholikerin und dealt mit Drogen, um über die Runden zu kommen. Als jedoch der großherzige Nachbar Ebo zu dem ungleichen Schwesternpaar stößt, kommen sich Zu und Music langsam wieder näher und plötzlich scheint alles möglich zu sein.

This movie is extremly ableist!!! It does not represent autism well and actually shows dangerous information!!! Restraining an autistic person can be very harmful and dangerous for the autistic person. Sia said she did a lot of research but I can't believe that would be true. Sia also supports autism speaks which is an organization which the austism community does not like/sides with. It spreads false information and is also ableist. Don't waste your money on this and support ableism!!!

Abelist, and a harmful reduction of autistic people to stereotypes. We are over stereotypes like that for neurodivergence (Autism/ADHD/etc.) and mental illness (Depression/OCD/Borderline/PTSD/Schizophrenia/etc). Claims to be "representation and advocacy for autism" but is just abelism in a nice packaging. And highly triggering for people with photosensitive disorders (Epilepsy/Migräne) and people with trauma or sensory issues. Not accessible to the people it claims to "advocate" for.

Der Film passt perfekt zu SIA! Hätte mir allerdings mehr Lieder bzw. alle Lieder in voller Länge im Film gewünscht und die älteren Lieder nicht erst am Ende. Ansonsten ein Film wie man ihn von SIA erwarten kann wenn man ihre Geschichte und ihre Lieder kennt :)
