Noni Gopaler Biye was released on 1973 Bengali film starring Chinmoy Roy, Jui Banerjee, Tapen Chattopadhyay, Padma Debi, Haradhan Bandopadhyay, Anand Mukhopadhyay, Satyaki Roy, Seema Roy, Kalyan Bagchi, Chhanda Debi, Amarnath Mukhopadhyay, Arun Choudhury, Gourshree, Ajoy Bandopadhyay. The Bengali film is directed by Sudhir Mukherjee. Nachiketa Ghose scored the music in the film. The story is as Noni a witty, friendly and romantic college student fell in love with Manashi who was not only good looking, but also a fantastic singer. He and his twin brother always created confusions among their parents. Dilip who was also his class mate created a rivalry with Noni regarding the relationship with Manashi. After they finished college life, everyone became busy with their respective career. Noni also joined a small office and worked hard to earn a good amount. His lover Manashi lived with her uncle and aunt, but unfortunately her uncle was handicapped. Unwillingly Noni made some unethical gesture with uncle and that hurt Manashi and her family members. Due to this miscommunication a distance between both Manashi and Noni developed. Dilip who was busy with his business introduced himself in this scenario to help Noni and tried hard to solve the problem. He showed a good friendly attitude to unite both. After a long and funny drama, both families came together and Manashi's family accepted Noni. Noni's twin brother and Dilip both tried hard to manage the situation and at last everything ends with a happy note.
