The horror thriller “IT”, directed by Andrés Muschietti (“Mama”), is based on the hugely popular Stephen King novel of the same name, which has been terrifying readers for decades. When children begin to disappear in the town of Derry, Maine, a group of young kids is faced with their biggest fears when they square off against an evil clown named Pennywise, whose history of murder and violence dates back for centuries.

Although It Only Focuses On The 'Kids' Half Of The Novel, I Never Felt This Film Was Out Of Focus With The Story As I Was Truly Impressed At How Muscheitti Was Able To Shift The Tonal Aspect Of The Plotting, Editing, Sound Design & Mixing & Character Development Of The Story. I Also Tip My Hat To The Great Child Performers Who I Bought As All Seven Of The Major Characters From The Book, Who All Were Well Performed, Assembled & Bonded Throughout The Entire Film. As Does Bill Skarsgard As The Main Villainous "Pennywise The Dancing Clown", Whilst The Film Played Him Very Little At First He Eventually Became A Terrifying Presence, Almost Every Sequence Involving The Demonic Shape-Shifting Clown Was Such A Thrill Ride! IT Amplified The Horror To A New Level. Skarsgard Was Even Able To Show The Horrific & Comedic Aspects Of The Character. While More Dramatic Heft Would've Helped The Film (Like Some The Best King Adaptations), After Watching The Film I Knew This Was Only The Beginning & Despite Truly Admiring This Film As A Whole, I'm Hoping The Sequel Which Will Focus On The 'Adult' Half Of The Novel Will Be Just As Good As The First. But This Film Will Definitely Be One Of The Scariest Horror Films I've Seen In Years!!!! Remember "We All Float Down Here" You'll Float Too!!!!🎈🤡🎈

I cannot get over the amount of people saying that corny 90s mini series was scary. You are working off nostalgia. Of course it scared the hell out of you then, you were 10, watch it now. It's like a comedy. John Boy and Judge Harry Stone chasing around a clown in a bad Halloween Express clown suit. The remake is 10x better than that. The visual effects, the actors, the creepy factor, all better. IT Chapter 2 is just as good, in case you are wondering. Highly recommend both. Creepy factor A+

Amazing movie. Most modern movies and video games give you cheap tricks to get a spook out of you. Pennywise the clown may be using tricks, but they certainly aren't cheap. This movie manages to be horrifying, wholesome and hilarious all at the same time without it ever feeling awkward (unless intended). A combination of a great cast, great characters and just as good script made this masterpiece. So great, in fact, that when I had to stop watching in the middle under certain circumstances, I restarted from the beginning and every scene could still send a tingle down my spine or make me laugh, even the most memorable moments. What ties it all together is the ending. Like I said, a lot of modern films pull cheap stuff, and in the end it's usually that everyone is dead or sad. And in the one in a million chance that isn't the case, it's usually a little awkward, or cheesy. But oh no, "IT" keeps its happy ending, justifies a mythical, "unkillable" beings defeat, and does so while looking cool. 10/10 would shiver again.
