However, when the son, Ki-woo is recommended by a fellow university student friend for a well-paid tutoring job, hope spawns for a regular income. Carrying the expectations of the family, Ki-woo arrives at the house of Mr. Park, the owner of a global IT firm, where he meets Yeon-kyo, the young lady of the house. The job interview is a success and soon Ki-woo begins work. But very soon, following this first meeting between the two families, an unstoppable string of mishaps lies in wait

You will need to watch the subtitles if you don't understand Korean but the movie is worth watching. A short description of the storyline....a comparison of two families, one poor, the other wealthy. Some comical scenes in the mix and the plot hovers mostly around the lives/actions of the poor family. Viewers will come to realise soon enough why the movie is titled as such. A decent storyline and builds up to an interesting if not emotional end.

A solid, somewhat overly written film with way too many character and plot points to set the story up. Great looking and insightful with real comedic touches. Somewhat uneven too: sort of. Grab bag of heist, thriller and horror genre elements - all solidly but somewhat unoriginally explored. The house, as a setting, was mesmerising!

After watching this masterpiece of film I can say that my standards have been heightened, the multilayered plot and the tense moments before reliefe truly had me on the edge of my set. Definitly a must watch. Most of the negative reviews are about them being dissapointed that there wasn't more comedy so try not to be disheartened by them and just watch and enjoy at your own pace.
