About this movie

A group of Americans are interested in raising the ill-fated Ocean liner Titanic. One of the team members finds out the Russians also have plans to raise the ship from its watery grave. Why all the interest ? A rare mineral on board could be used to power a sound beam that will knock any missile out of the air when entering US airspace.

Ratings and reviews

For me this film is a guilty pleasure but for the average viewer it may not be worth it. The cast is strong and the score is probably the best of any film featuring Titanic. The scene that depicts Titanic being raised is what makes the film worth it but you can find that same scene on YouTube.

Remember this is science fiction that the titanic cant be raised because it will break while they lift and plus it split and the funnels all fell off after the doomed luxury liner sank

Don't over analyse the movie, it was made before the wreck was found, for what it is the movie is really quite enjoyable and in my honest opinion John Barry's soundtrack is absolutely up there with the best of them.
