About this movie

From the director of PRISONERS comes this taut, critically acclaimed thriller filled with pulse-pounding suspense. After an idealistic FBI agent (Emily Blunt) is recruited by a government task-force official (Josh Brolin) to pursue a drug lord, she begins a perilous mission that forces her to question everything she believes—and pits her against a shadowy consultant (Oscar® winner Benicio Del Toro) with a dangerous agenda.

The worst movie from 2015. The storyline was garbage, Del Toro and Brolin were mediocre. Blunt was terrible my 2 yr old can act better. Oh and who ever advised them on the border, guns or government agancies needs to be never hired again. Save yourself some money wait until this comes out on Netflix better yet wait until its on TBS.

Bencio Del Toro's acting skills are solid in this brooding flick, but the film itself is just o.k. It's certainly not at the level of Scarface as a previous reviewer suggested. I stand in question of the scoring at Rotten Tomatoes, 93 % really! Disjointed story line. No real character development. Emily Blunt (IMO) was not the right fit for this film. Too many tears and whimpering. Even in terms of physicality, her figure is so slight. It's hard to really imagine her as the lead. A real pity. Le sigh.

It was cool, but I honestly was waiting the whole movie for the female character to do something useful and not be half crying all the time. I mean I'm used to Hollywood's refusal to create a strong female lead that goes a whole movie w/o a man saving her, but I truly didn't understand the point of having her character in the movie. The point they wanted to get across with her character could have easily been made w/o her existence in my op. The plot was alright but kind of slow in my opinion, a lot of whisper dialogue and not as many action scenes as the trailer may lead you to believe. But it is labeled as a Drama and not an action adventure, so that's my fault for expecting something different.
