SLAUGHTER NICK FOR PRESIDENT examines how Rob Stewart inexplicably became a symbol of freedom through his long-forgotten TV role of Nick Slaughter in Tropical Heat (aka Sweating Bullets) during the non-violent Serbian protests leading to the overthrow of Slobodan Milosevic. Stewart's Serbian visit, dubbed 'Slaughtermania' by the national press, uncovers the surprising meaning behind the show's popularity, the blurred distinction between an actor and his character, and tells the inspiring story of the Serbian protesters.
