one of the most enjoyable movies i have ever seen. i really enjoyed the characters. nobody was one dimensional. thats more than i can say for most modern day releases. i have seen the theatrical releases on old vhs tapes and the changes made here werent all bad. some of them were just touch ups or pointless additions that dont add or take away from the experience. some of the creatures that were added did stick out like a sore thumb though. its as if george lucas saw room to add something and make the movie look more modern so he just did for the sake of doing it. that did kind of irk me somewhat but i still enjoyed the film. the scene where han doesnt shoot first is ridiculous. his head moves after the shoot is fired, faster than the speed of light. george should have left that alone but he didnt and the scene is hard to watch because of that. again, some scenes were edited for the better and some for worse. still great despite this. the story is great. even the effects still stand up to this day. an iconic movie that everyone should at least give a shot to. most will definitely enjoy it. worth the price. got my moneys worth.

I've loved Star Wars since I was a kid and that love has not lessened over the years. As a 41 year old, I attribute my live of sci-fi to seeing this movie at a family friend's house many, many years ago. It's not perfect and watching it as an adult for the first time doesn't have the same effect as a child, but for those who love it due to having watching it as a child, it has no equal.

Ep4 A New Hope to many but to those like me who remember its colossal impact on release in 1977, it will always be just "Star Wars". Groundbreaking and world-changing, this movie shows it age but still delivers, fun, imagination and thrills all the way to the final attack on the Death Star. This Special Edition with its digital enhancements are hit and miss but the movie remains a bonafide cinematic legend. 👍🏾😎
