A movie that started as a continuation of a 9 part saga but through personal difficulties during its production, became the finale of a truncated 6 part saga instead. Lucas recalibrated all his ideas for a final trilogy into this movie for a last spectacular FX extravaganza that earned the picture a special achievement award. Not the best plot delivery in the saga and sometimes just plain silly but has its moments, and remains a fun viewing for the kid in everyone. 😐

The plot has more layers than episode 4 and 5. The showdown between Vader and Luke is well handled, as is the attack on the death star. On the whole though the direction and acting is average and the dialogue is so corny and basic it makes you wince. And what do you say about the ewoks...dear me.

It's an old film. Should be priced at £1.99 now. And the HD version is false as they didn't have Hd then. It sickens me how they get away with these wrong prices and incorrect descriptions
