A wonderful documentary combining archive pictures, visits to the original sites, and background details of why 8500 Ukrainian immigrants were detained. Camp #2 of 24 was in my hometown of Vernon, B.C. It was located at W.L. Seaton Junior High school playing fields. I played on those fields in Grade 8 -10, 1973-75. The movie has two segments there showing the large memorial now at the field and a building mural in downtown Vernon. A sad but true part of our Canadian history. Recommended!

A very powerful look at how Ukrainians and other ethnic minorities were stripped of their civil liberties in their new home of Canada. An important watch for all Canadians and Ukrainian-Canadians alike.

This is a honest confession of shameful "concentration camp" occurred in Canada around the time of WWI. Human rights were violated. This is the shame of Canada history. But, luckily, Canada government recognizes this shame and agrees to educate new generation people of the past story, rather than hiding the history.
