About this movie

Two years of stalking the streets as the Batman, striking fear into the hearts of criminals, has led Bruce Wayne deep into the shadows of Gotham City. With only a few trusted allies amongst the city’s corrupt network of officials and high‐profile figures, the lone vigilante has established himself as the sole embodiment of vengeance amongst his fellow citizens. When a killer targets Gotham’s elite with a series of sadistic machinations, a trail of cryptic clues sends the World’s Greatest Detective on an investigation into the underworld, where he encounters Selina Kyle/aka Catwoman, Oswald Cobblepot/aka the Penguin, Carmine Falcone, and Edward Nashton/aka the Riddler. As the evidence begins to lead closer to home and the scale of the perpetrator’s plans becomes clear, Batman must forge new relationships, unmask the culprit, and bring justice to the abuse of power and corruption that has long plagued Gotham City.

My personal pick for the best Super hero movie ever. Makes Bat-man seem very down to earth and realistic which allows the audience to connect emotionally. All the acting is top tier and the story is very engaging which includes some fun/funny moments to relieve some of the serious dark story lines. Would not recommend for young kids, this movie is on the level of The Dark Knight for scary/dark moments that involve the villain and even sometimes Bat-man so if you think The Dark Knight is too much for your kids I would stay away from showing them this movie.

It feels like two movies trying to happen at the same time. One movie is Batman the vigilante, the other film is Batman the detective. Both seem to feature a Bruce Wayne that is Batman during the day and Batman the walking bullet-shield at night. I don't quite understand how no one just aims for the head with their full auto guns, since Batman doesn't try to hide on the shadows anymore. He simply walks around, making loud noises as he approaches his victims. It feels so stupid, honestly

I really wish these reviews would be out of 10 and not 5 star. I can't give it a 3/5 because it isn't that terrible, but giving it a full 4/5 doesn't seem that accurate either. It should be 3.5/5 or 7/10 as that is a much better fit. The Batman is an ok movie, that is great at times and at other times kind of awful. It is a decent standalone film that shines the brightest during the detective scenes and bores me to tears during the action scenes. I would have hated to see it in theaters though
