One of the best Teen Comedy films from the 80s, granted there's a lot of drama in the film, but it shows what it's like for several different types of Teenagers getting together and expressing themselves, being open and honest. The Jock, The Brain, The Popular Girl, The Social Outcast and The Rebel all open up to each other letting each other know that they are all screwed up from what's going on in their own lives. They all eventually realize that they all have something in common. A must watch

30 years ago at its premiere, I watched "The Breakfast Club." At the time, it was a fun teen comedy that reminded me of how much I was over the high school experience. Now, years later, I appreciate just how compelling and poignant this movie still is. Its message is more about the adults we become, than the teenagers we once were. My goal is to never have my heart die and to always embrace my inner brain, athlete, basket case, princess, and criminal that resides in all of us.

When I was a kid there were a ton of teen movies being thrown at us. This movie stood out because it wasn't just another teen film about the frog transforming into the prince. Breakfast Club gave the viewer an in depth look into not only the character but what made the character into what he or she is today. A jock, a geek, a jerk, a freak, and Barbie. It shows that we can overcome preconceived public views of ourselves. It let's the viewer believe that differences can be overcome no matter how insurmountable they may seem. A must see!!
