After teenagers from a small Midwestern town begin to mysteriously vanish, the locals begin to suspect that their disappearances may somehow be tied to a terrifying local legend. Things take a bizarre turn when Lasombra discovers a secretive group of occultists who seem to be attempting to bring forth a horrific, mystical entity. Before long, Lasombra realizes that his life - and the lives of those close to him - are in terrible danger in this white-knuckle chiller. THE EMPTY MAN also stars Marin Ireland, Stephen Root, Ron Canada, Robert Aramayo, Joel Courtney and Sasha Frolova. Directed by David Prior from his screen story and screenplay based on Cullen Bunn's novel.

It sucx! I was totally lost can't figure out if that man from the mountain scene was the guy laying in ICU for 23 years after killing his friends on the cabin trip. The movie started out as a good scary picture but grew confusing with that weirdo detective and girl. It jumped from one situation to the next but left me confused by what just happened to each character. The girl running away lead the detective to find all her friends dead because they blew into an empty glass beer or wine bottle while the crazy girl chanted "Empty Man!" It went from one extreme to the next making no connection or reasoning to the previous scene. Terrible movie very disappointed!

This movie has, let's say 3 lanes. Three different stories trying to merge together. There's a cult, his family and the horror side. They don't mix well. It doesn't all make sense. What was the point of the bear, the "demon", the affair? What's being transmitted? Run time is too long. They should of stuck with the horror element 100%. The "demon" needs souls and has his cult hunt them or something like that.

The ending was way off from the rest of the movie, threw us off made it feel like a waste of time. Not the actors fault, definitely lazy writing or poor execution of the entire plot. Also why is Hollywood encouraging nude underage girls?
