When a massive storm strikes off the coast of Cape Cod, it rips a T-2 oil tanker in half, trapping more than 30 sailors on its rapidly sinking stern. As Captain Bernie Webber (Chris Pine) and his crew set out in a 12-seat rescue boat to save them, Chief Engineer Ray Sybert (Casey Affleck) struggles to buy his men more time. Packed with heroic larger-than-life action and driven by the men’s faith in their mission, themselves and one another, The Finest Hours is a triumph.

Ok, its "based on a true story", if you can over look all the bad things that Disney did to this film as they "dramatized it", then its a great feel good film, I would have given it 5 stars but 4 to me is what it deserves for not portraying it as it should be if its based on a true story. Overlooking that, it is good, watch it then if you feel you need a little more, do a search, read the book as that will give you more of an insight into what really happened and why it happened to these 2 T2 tankers.

Saw this movie in the cinema. Nothing spectacular but still a good watch :) more of a family movie with a few intense moments.
