Good performances and impressive production values alone don't make a good film, and unfortunately overall it's a soulless mess. It's kinda enjoyable but also feels incredibly shallow and empty inside, despite the hard-work of the cast and flashiness. On top of that, the story is a sugar coated and shallow portrayal of Barnum, and the musical numbers don't add up to make a good overall story. Songs are catchy, but also unfortunately they're all overproduced and auto-tuned to death.

Sadly i never got to the cinema to see the film. By the time i saw it, I'd heard all of the songs (overplayed) and got the general gist anyway. Overrated for me in afraid. Catchy songs, good story but ruined by the hype. Much better films out there for me!

My fault as I didn't realise it was a musical. Too many songs spoilt the content which seemed empty to me. Beautiful to watch but we were bored at its lack of depth and story telling.
