This is one of the best movies of all time. Great story, great characters, great ending, overall masterpiece. The reason I give it 4 stars is because of what it could have been. All of the deleted scenes could have made it absolutely perfect, especially "robot dreams". It gave insight on where the giant came from and why it was sent.

It shows a couple of meanings like it's ok that people (or robots) die but their souls don't the souls go to heaven and also self sacrifice and it's simple for children yet complex enough for the adults and it has some funny moments in it and it's sad moments and it's done by Lauren faust who animated some of my favorite cartoons of all time. I recommend watching this

I saw this movie when I was a kid, and even today I love it still. The bond between two friends one who is from another planet and one from Earth, because of a boy from Earth to teach him what it is about right from wrong, is a timeless lesson. I love the part at the end where he sacrificed himself at the end to stop the atomic bomb from blowing up the town. All because of what the little boy taught him from right and wrong and self-sacrifice. All of them true lessons in and of themselves.
