About this movie

After meeting their end in a mechanized gladiator arena, four robot criminals - Auto, Max, Strobo and Trog are fished out of a junk pile, rebuilt and recruited as mercenaries for a mysterious organization of android adventurers.
Although reluctant at first, the mercenaries agree to travel to the planet Vidya, an artificial planet ravaged by a computer virus that has sent its robotic inhabitants into a state of primitive barbarism. Assaulted by all manner of killer machines and robots, the mercenaries must make their way through the tumultuous landscape, activate an inter-dimensional communication device, communicate with otherworldly aliens, and bring about a new age of enlightenment and prosperity for a dystopian galactic civilization.

Apparently "The Killer Robots!" are a Florida-based "theatrical rock band", who take the stage dressed as ... well, as Killer Robots ... and who produce a variety of multimedia materials that encapsulate their passion for both music and science fiction. This film is pretty much all about the cheap-but-often-interesting visual design and the goofy humour, with the plot being very much a secondary concern. That steadily becomes more and more of a weakness the longer the movie continues. If had been a short, I would give it props for its or its manic energy and memorable (if uneven) visual design and special effects. At feature length though I think it runs out of steam well before it is over.

Kick back with your favorite poison and enjoy this high voltage, campy, special effects charged journey to "levity and beyond ". Just when you thought the robots were down and out they resurrect to save the universe!

Super creative and very well done! A visual masterpiece. Must see for Sci-fi fans! Crazy to know that the whole film was shot on green screen.
