After suffering an injury in Iraq, Sgt TK Poole (Pena) is granted one months leave to visit his fiancée. But when an unexpected blackout cancels all flights out of New York, TK agrees to share a ride with two other stranded servicemen, Sgt Fred Cheever (Robbins) and Pvt Colee Dunn (McAdams) What begins as a short visit home, turns into a poignant journey of self discovery as all 3 are forced to grapple with old relationships, broken hopes and the realisation that home is not quite what they remembered.
