I'll start off by saying I've seen my fair share of drama filled movies but this one meets its mark and then destroys it. There were actual moments when I had to pause the movie just to compose myself because the plot was getting to intense. After I watched it I watched a funny movie just to calm myself down. 100K/1 recommend. Not predictable. Loved it. Great character development and implementations and they tried their very best to make it as realistic as possible IF we could actually make it to Mars. ๐Ÿ˜

It,... is okay, for a space adventure sort of movie, from an enthusiasts value of realism in a scientific tangibility value. Found the movie bland. Matt Damon didn't seem invested in the role. Maybe because he's not quite as funny as the written character. It almost felt like a documentary. Plus obstacles were few and far between to really appreciate the near constant struggle it should have been. Granted they opted to discard allot of complications Watney encountered from the book to save on time, but it detracted heavily from the movie. I think Chris Pratt would've been a better choice too. Not so stoic.
