Very different from the comic, Jim Carrey gives a zany performance that isn't likely to be forgotten. If you haven't read the original comic, Ipkiss is a bad guy with a magical mask he bought from a pawn shop and doesn't last very long, but this isn't the movie. The creators skipped past the first page to the second and said that's our hero and skipped pages until they found something crazy to see the mask do. Still a good movie though.

Hilarious! I watched it with my cousin and we are still laughing at parts of it. I told her that she absolutely HAD to see it because she had never heard of Jim Carrey. Yeah that changed.

This movie is smart,clever,and very very funny the special effects aren't that bad I mean its cartoon style but its not too cartoonish so who ever did the CGI in this movie great job and Jim carry is fantastic in this film I mean fantastic this is one if the best movies of the 1990's so yeah its one of Jim carry's best performances and this film just told me that Jim carry is a good actor I mean he did some wonderful performances such as the Grinch movie(2000) so yeah its funny
