The story begins as an expedition lands on the island of Bengalla, seeking the legendary skulls of Touganda. Believed to harness an energy force of incalculable power, the skulls could spell disaster for mankind. And that's exactly what ruthless tycoon Xander Drax (Treat Williams) has in mind... unless one man can save it. Now evil has met its match and great movie adventure has a new name --The Phantom!

Ratings and reviews

This is by far one of the greatest comic book movies ever made. It said faithful to the source, so much so that the original creator gave praise to it. Yes, it can be cheesy, but come on, it was 1996. Also, Josh Impinto, it did go to theaters. I went and saw it for my birthday. Just give it a shot, you'll enjoy it.

This is a good movie. In older style not like any of the newer Super Hero movies that are out today. Like others said it sticks to the comic in ways the new movies don't. Remember it's just a movie you don't have to nitpick it. Just sit back and enjoy.
