The story follows two rival magicians, who separately come up with the same trick - using very different methods. What is unveiled blurs the lines between Science and Magic: what is real and what isn't - and the reveal is as fascinating as it is chilling. Brilliant performances from both Christian Bale and Hugh Jackman as the main protagonist and antagonist and memorable performances from David Bowie, Andy Serkis and Michael Caine. A large amount of attention was paid to detailing in the environments, making Victorian London come to life. This is a great movie and deserves multiple watches.

Brilliant! Brilliantly acted, directed, paced and a genuine surprise and treat for those who dont need an explosion every ten minutes. I even had a genuine "whoa, hang on a minute" moment. Wish i could watch it again for the first time!

It had a good twist I guess, but it got a bit to long. The movie was a bit boring at times, but I still enjoyed it. It was not a great movie though, it did have a lot of problems.
