Loved it!! They both played their parts very well. I loved the both of them in this movie and once I watched it the first time, I broke down in tears... He's a struggling father trying to raise his son by himself trying to maintain/ get a job to provide for him and his son so they could stop moving from shelter to shelter and live in their own home where they didn't have to do that.. I know what its like to struggle and be hopeless. Nobody should ever have to go through that. In the end, their stronger than before.
This movie was straight whack! I saw a documentary of the real character and it was different. I didn't like the way the movie portrayed the main character as somewhat of a moron. Its okay to rent if you have nothing else to do but definitely not a purchase.
In the context of things, when you have nothing by gambling with your future, it makes little sense that you will get a second shot. Right? But when your proclivity is to outsmart and outwork your adversaries, the powers that be will see it. It's a story with a moral that will twist and drench the heart.
One of my favorite movies of all time It's part drama/tear jerker, part comedy & all awesome. My son and I are living in a shelter right now and will probably be going to another one if we don't find a housing program that can help us. I'm going to get my GED so i can go to college, get a good job and support my son on my own and make sure he never has to worry about where he lays his head again. But yes, I highly recommend this movie to anyone with good taste in movies 🎥
Fairly Accurate Portrayal From homelessness to stability to success. As some of my good friends have said to me, life can be a struggle. It makes you stronger and you learn many important lessons from it. If you are feeling down and going through hard times, this movie is a good pick-me-up. This story is very inspiring. It challenges those of us who are afraid to face our own fears to pursue our dreams and vision in life. Great movie and definitely worth watching!
Loved it!! The struggle of a real father trying to provide a future for his child is very moving. I could not ask for a better movie to watch with my family. Love and devotion to make a better future for yourself and for your loved ones. Good moral movie if you want to teach teenagers the struggle is real and can happen to anyone at b anytime.
Persuit of happiness Very warm and fuzzy movie.I actually meet Chris Gardner in Richardson,Texas.we were visiting a country club.he told the staff to give me whatever I wanted to eat. I was broke.could not afford a plate of food.I was very grateful.Edward Monton....
Inspiration at its best This movie touched my heart and proves that anything is possible, even in your darkest days. The acting was stellar and the story line was nothing short of amazing. A must see movie for those of you who have ever felt hopeless in life and the struggles life can bring

Best motivational movie of Will Smith This movie is really reflective, teachs about the real life, how tough can be, the main topic is YOUR DREAMS, your goals, " if you want something... Go get it, period". Really emotional too. Show us how somebody poor who lost almost everything except his faith, he never gave up, his willingness to chase, to catch his dreams which will bring him... That little, that tiny moment of life that is called 'hapyness'
Magical and touching, The best. I remember watching this as a child, It made me cry the first time I saw it and now, I've watched it about 50 times, after continually watching the wonderful movie, over the years, It can still manage to make me cry. This is honestly, A Magically touching story. One I will certainly show my kids ! :)
The struggle of a working man. A working man and father, Will Smith's performance is top notch. It's a great movie with an inspiring story about overcoming obstacles and never losing hope. The tough times are the times when you get resilient and get smart. I absolutely enjoyed this movie.
Hats off Great movie based on a true story. Another lesson is how nonprofit and charity organizations are critical to the quality of life for people in need, impacting areas such as education, arts, medicine, culture and the environment. Never judge anybody and give your time and money to people in need because you can never get poor by doing so.
Life lessons of trial and tribulation Not many movies offer valuable life lessons. However, this movie displays a plethora of them. Top 5 movies all time! Smith is marvelous and shows incredible display of emotions that will capture the hearts of viewers.
Inspiring I was first showed this movie a few years ago in school, not expecting to love it as much as I do. It is a truly insperational movie and Will Smith and Jaden Smith do an absolutely excellent job showing the emotion. One of my all-time favourites and I will watch over and over.
This is inspiring! We watched this in my English class, and we wrote letters to (the actual) Chris Gardner. We ended up skyping with him it was so amazing. We are the only ones he has ever done that for!
Inspiration The MOST inspirational movie I've ever seen. I'm going through tuff times at the moment. This movie showed me that there is light at the end of the tunnel. It shows that TUFF TIMES DON'T LAST, TUFF PEOPLE DO! If you really want something in life, NEVER give up! GREAT performance by Will Smith and his son.

Dillon is Matthew, who slipped through a crack in the bureaucratic system and onto the streets. Equipped with buckets and squeegees, the two friends have a lot of work ahead. And a lot of heart to see themselves through.

TIME OUT OF MIND, from Academy Award(R) nominated writer/director Oren Moverman (The Messenger), is a haunting look at life on the streets immersing viewers in one man's daily quest to survive. Richard Gere delivers a soul-baring performance as George, a man whose struggle to find food and a place to sleep in New York City is beautifully captured with remarkable realism and heartrending compassion. Shuffled into the unforgiving bureaucracy of a men's shelter, George seems destined to wind up as just another lost soul swallowed up by the system --until he meets a gregarious, down-and-out ex-jazzman (played by Broadway legend Ben Vereen) who inspires George to reconnect with his estranged daughter (Jena Malone). Cinematically stunning and shot in an eloquently observational style, Time Out of Mind is an unforgettable plunge into a world that is all too easily overlooked.
