About this movie

A rare, intimate glimpse into the life and mind of Jordan Peterson, the academic and best-selling author who captured the world's attention with his criticisms of political correctness and his life-changing philosophy on discovering personal meaning. Christened as the most influential public intellectual in the western world, University of Toronto psychology professor Jordan Peterson skyrocketed to fame after he published a controversial viral video series entitled "Professor Against Political Correctness" in 2016. Within 2 years, he sold over 3 million copies of his self-help book, 12 Rules For Life, and became simultaneously branded by some as an academic rockstar selling out theatres around the world, and by others as a dangerous threat to progressive society. THE RISE OF JORDAN PETERSON intimately traces the transformative period of Peterson's life while visiting rare moments with his family, friends and foes who share their own versions of the Jordan Peterson story.

Just as a psychology class can show you how indifferent you are to a Nazi in 20th century Germany, The Rise of Jordan Peterson gives you a more realistic and humane perspective on Jordan. I think it's important for everybody familiar with Jordan to watch this documentary, but even more so for people who identify strongly with him. Jordan Peterson is not a legend, he is an individual - however in this day and age that may be just as rare.

It's a good watch for those who want to understand a bit about Peterson's perspective on the issues he's been made famous for, beyond the catchy YouTube video tittles and sensational headlines. He's a man, not with all, but some answers. He asks difficult questions about who we are and where we want to go.

Apparently someone gifted me this garbage - and there's no way to remove it from my library. So, I guess this review is more about google play's garbage lack of functionality than it is about the "documentary" about this ideologue idiot.
