I think the average movie goer wouldn't be able to understand the subtle complexity of how the movie is presented. Almost like an old fable of a man searching for something in a wasteland of nothing. Every person clings onto the old world by dependence of money and unnecessary antiques. It even makes you think the main character goes through all this trouble just for a car when he already had a functioning truck. My favorite part is roberts character listens to an old pop song and gives him the motivation to kill his own brother. Even in a world where your only need is to survive, these characters all are influenced to something lost from the past. Almost as if they still try to be part of a society.

Desolate out backs of Australia a man's car is stolen. There's something of great importance in the car that he needs back. There he chases the men who st ole his car picking up the brother they left behind. Shot and feeble but he needs him to show him the way to where his car is. There is no sentiment t onwards this kid but he can see he can't take care of himself. In his anger & narrowed minded course of action he starts covering for the kid & vice versa. It's a action film bloody, slow In the

Unrelenting, bleak and brilliantly performed The Rover achieves so much with so little... Perhaps in anybody else's hand the sparse script would have been a joke. But the director and his team pull off something unique here.
