In an affluent Connecticut suburb, Ned Merrill (Burt Lancaster) decides to "swim" home via the pools of his wealthy friends. Along the way he encounters several women from his past: a tempestuous teenage girl; his embittered ex-mistress; and the sensual wife of an old friend. I watch this movie years ago it was incredible I think only Burt Lancaster could have done this movie. the cast was first rate the movie made you cry. It's a must-see movie I think you understand when you watch it!!!!! One more thing if it doesn't move you you're not human.
