About this movie

Horror-master, John Carpenter (Halloween, Escape from New York) teams Kurt Russell's outstanding performance with incredible visuals to build this chilling version of the classic The Thing. In the winter of 1982, a twelve-man research team at a remote Antarctic research station discovers an alien buried in the snow for over 100,000 years. Once unfrozen, the form-changing alien wreaks havoc, creates terror and becomes one of them.

Classic Horror! John Carpenter's masterpiece has been remade and imitated, but this is still the best version by far. The practical effects are fantastic and still hold up against modern cgi, and the sense of paranoia and claustrophobia is perfectly executed.

Hands down the scariest movie I have ever seen for the sheer fact that you don't know what the Thing truly looks like and when the assimilated host reveals itself as the Thing, the result is terrifying from the word "go".

One of the best horror movies I've seen. Ending leaves room for some theories and a lot of questions remain to be unanswered during the film. Fantastic experience.
