I remember watching this film in a theater and enjoying it very much. For some reason, this was not readily available from.. *sites* lol probably because it's old. I was worried if I would enjoy this movie as much as I did back then, because it's been such a long time, but I'm feeling satisfied after watching it and I'm glad I made the decision. If you're into monster/horror movies, you will not be disappointed.

I love the movie, but have to rate this two stars. The sound quality was crap, at least for me. Throughout the movie, whenever something particularly loud happened regardless of what they volume was set at, everything started crackling. This included parts of the music and almost all of the black and white Frankenstein scene. I even jumped to my headphones, which have amazing sound quality and this didn't change.

I loved this movie from the first time I watched it. Hugh Jackman is Van Helsing. I wish they would do more with the same cast but I'll take it as long as they keep same characters for Van Helsing, The one who V. H. gets his assignments from, Anna, Frankenstein and Dracula. I had to have the game when it came out. That was so beautifully done with the graphics. I jumped at times during that as well(yes, I had to do those spots over again. Didn't hurt my feelings though. ๐). They kept small things you wouldn't know if you didn't watch the old original classics authentic like the horse carriage. Watched the classics and could feel the homage to them in V. H. Can't count how times I've watched my DVD. Truly need to watch this. You won't be disappointed. Need more stars to rate this one.
