Derek Muller, PhD in physics with an evidently poor grasp of chemistry, does a shallow and unremarkable job in exploring vitamins. Through unnecessary and distracting jingles, viewers are no further enlightened beyond a General Practitioner's dietary advice, or a middle schooler's chemistry education. If you are looking for a history of vitamins and the effects of their deficiencies in the past, communicated in an inconsistent and roundabout style, this video is for you. If, however, you were lead to believe, via Veritasium's promo videos that this would be an educational deepdive into vitamins, and how they may best be utilised to supplement our health - the videos entire lesson, as any medical doctor would tell you, is to just eat a balanced diet.

You made me pay $4.99 for this? This could've been condensed down to a few 15min YouTube videos; take out the signalongs and extras and you get about 30mins of useable facts. I did enjoy it, but I was expecting a little more coming from a full Documentary....c'mon, now I'll think twice about any future films hosted by Dr Muller. You're better than this mannn!!

The documentary develops interest in the topic, but it felt like it was not well structured film, so many points where expected to be discussed e.g. food based vs synthetic is there any difference? Vitamin B, E, K are not even discussed. And Personally, I found songs discussing important points bit distracting.
