When the game stands tall Love movies that have life lessons behind them especially ones the helps teenagers know the consequences from wrong and right. For what they do will always get them into trouble and never know what happens on the long run.
Movie lacks focus It was a decent movie, but some big disappointments. The trailer almost exclusively showed clips from before the streak loss, not showing any of the actual struggles. It also implied that the death of a player would be a major aspect of the film, but it was barely a footnote. It's almost like this movie tried to include everything unique about every other football drama. In the end, the message of not being about an individual gets lost when you realize the film is exalting the coach
Really enjoyed this movie. Jim Caviziel's role as Coach Ladoceur was passionate and believable. While the acting of some of the other characters wasnt as good, I still really enjoyed the movie and the story. The guy who plays Chris Ryan's dad (same guy who played the lead prison guard in Shawshank Redemption) always plays such a great bad guy, and hes about as bad you can be in a movie like this. Overall the message of the movie of team and family first is so powerful. #Matthew2312
Absolutely Exceptional! I LOVED IT! And, I OWN IT! Even people who don't like sports or understand the rules of football will enjoy this movie, b/c it's NOT about football. Rather, it's about not giving up, overcoming fierce obstacles in life, and succeeding. It inspires, motivates, and uplifts us all! Bottom Line: If you think that you have it bad in life, and you've given up on yourself, then you should watch this movie! It's based on a True Story.
Dont pay attention to critics I seen rotten tomatoes gave it an 18% so I ignored what the critics said and paid attention to the 4.6 overall rating it received from those who watched it, in my opinion probably one of the best sports movie I have seen since forever strong and blind side
Loved it I loved this movie. It shows how a lot of high school coaches think. I'm a senior in high school and watching this movie brought chills that I only got during game time during the fall. Best high school football movie by far.
Great movie I went and saw this movie in the theaters it was a really good movie we all cried a little bit when the coach was put in the hospital and when the one guy got shot point blank in the car and as soon as I got home I told my dad all about it and now that it is on disk I will go and buy it it is my second favorite movie and I recommend you buy it
Good Storyline, Cheesy Performance As a football enthusiast, I loved the storyline, particularly that's it's based on a true story. However, the overall quality seemed similar to that of a program that would air as a cheap Sunday premiere on the Lifetime channel. Unable to finish.
Excellent Movie Sensational movie, it's the best football movie since Remember The Titans in my opinion. The only complaint I have is that there could have been a little more to the player's individual stories. I felt they didn't get far enough into detail in that area as much, but other than that superb film.
Another winner for Jim Caviezel ... what a class act this man is!!! Truly inspired by God, Jim does everything in his power to spread the gospel. This movie is among the greats, like "Remember the Titans," "Facing the Giants," We Are Marshall," "Coach Carter." Great job everyone for an outstanding performance! (It was good to see Michael Chiklis with a little hair again ... even if it was on his chin.) VERY INSPIRING MOVIE.
When the game stands tall Great movie. It's nice when Hollywood decides to follow a true story. It wasn't 100% true. It was enough to convince me that this is a movie about character. The acting was fantastic. Jim Cavezal delivers as did the rest of the cast.
Extraordinary Movie!!! One of THE BEST MOVIES I've ever watched. It is amazing from start to finish! Fantastic performances by Jim Caviezel, Michael Chiklis, Lauren Dern and the rest of the cast!! A must see movie!!

Academy Award® winner Denzel Washington shines in REMEMBER THE TITANS.
