I just finished it and it was very good. A word of warning if your sound is weak as mine is so I couldn't turn it up enough to hear most of the dialog clearly but headphones saved the day. At 4.99 it's a bit steep for a rental but it was worth it. And the words at the end saying that there are no missing persons lists for native american women and no one knows how many have gone missing over time was heartbreaking. Elizabeth Olsen was amazing playing the overwhelmed FBI agent sent on a thankless job and Jeremy Renner the tracker was very soft spoken but intense. The movie was so real feeling with some intense action in parts but mostly it was a slice of life of the plight of modern native american's on the reservation in Wyoming. Beautiful scenery and lots of snow.

This movie was so poorly conceived from the very beginning. It lacked any real storytelling, plot and acting. I mean really the scenes at trailer shoot out were so far fetched, predictable and unrealistic. This was perhaps one of the greater disappointing movies I have rented. Please do not believe the hype about the content of this film.

Hands down one of the best films I have ever seen! All of the elements come together just spectacularly, including standout, stellar performances by Renner and Olsen, and a script by Taylor Sheridan that will absolutely knock your socks off! Sheridan delivers on the directorial front as well, and the film would never have the impact it does without the hauntingly beautiful, ethereal score by Nick Cave and Warren Evans. In a perfect world this one really should net Sheridan Oscar nods for both Best Original Screenplay and Best Director, and Renner and Olsen nominations/wins for Best Actor and Actress. Personally, I'd love to see Cave and Evans recognized as well. This one's as close to perfect as they get, folks!
