About this movie

Ellie, a young woman living in Los Angeles, learns that her estranged alcoholic father has died. Having no contact with him since childhood, she's reluctant to make the effort to attend his funeral, but something draws her to the dusty corner of Texas where he spent the last years of his life. At first dismayed by the small town folksiness, she's soon intrigued by the people she meets, among them a transgender cowboy, her dad's stepson and his little boy, and a set of doting grandparents she never knew. As she finds glimpses of the father she once knew, she also discovers a new attitude towards friendship, loyalty and most importantly, family.

This movie portrays those who live in the South as horrible parents who hate the gay community! Completely ignorant and stereotypical! I absolutely hated the movie even regardless of all the idiotic stereotypes! The dullest movie ever!
