Chronos
This is one of the creepiest and disturbing movies of this genre I've seen in the last few years. The format is found footage scenario and this is not for the faint of heart. I would not let children see this movie. The story line of what happens to the family is eerily possible in the environment they are in. The acting at times seems a little hollow by one of the characters, (redneck mountain man) but he carries it enough to let the main cast carry on. The hide and seek aspect of being pursued heightens the tension and struggle after the alien reveal and done well enough to allow you to suspend your disbelief and become immersed in it. The special effects are quite good, but this movie does not rely on a lot of overdone special effects, and that is the best part of the production. but the alien reveals are done with brilliant use of shadow, light and defocus in such a way (even in broad daylight) that it's plausible and chillingly real. I watched this movie on an Emirates Airbus flight and I was still creeped out!

Why isn't it available in my country now, (NC, USA), was just a few months ago but not now WTF fix this problem since Brown Mountain is just up the road from me. I want to see this movie!!!! You'd think a movie made in Catawba, Burke and which ever other counties it was filmed in and by someone who use to visit the area in the summers, and when ever else to visit his family in Blowing Rock, NC you'd think it would be AVAILABLE in NC, USA.... I'd definitely change my rating

I was fairly impressed with this film. As others have said, more footage from inside the alien craft would have made the film better. Also, I don't understand why the actors keep running when there was a perfectly good hiding spot inside the Redneck's cabin.
