About this movie

In the second of the blockbuster Batman films, the physically deformed criminal genius The Penguin threatens Gotham City--and, helpless, the entire city can only pray that Batman Returns. Only Batman (MichaelKeaton) can defend the city from total chaos as The Penguin (DannyDeVito) lays twisted waste to a great metropolis. Meanwhile, the Dark Knight may have met his equal in the lethally lithe Catwoman (MichellePfeiffer)--only he doesn't know if she is feline friend ... or foe.

To say I had probelms with this movie,(which I did) you'd think I didn't like it. There were just parts of the story that I didn't hold with. Keaton's Batman was still at least 98% in character and once Catwoman was actually in the film she was great. Selina's pre-Catwoman characterization and origin were completely FUBARed. Penguin's origin was altered but somehow came off as tolerable. This was the last movie of that film series that was at least tryin to be faithful, inspite of the changes.

Gee I thought this was supposed to be bat man movie not a combo of a Christmas Carol &the Grinch ,Danny Devito is a fine actor&comedian but this version of the penguin disgusting!! and circus freaks instead of gangsters &thugs? Really? This sequel was so far removed from the Michael Keaton &Jack Nicholson classic it's a disappointment thank God for Chris Nolan!! (Dark night trilogy)!

Batman returns is a good film the penguin is in it and that's what disappointed me you see I've never been a fan of the penguin he's just a fat guy who commucates with penguin what's good about that Catwoman is great in this. batman and Catwoman look good together and smart how they didn't make a third installment remember the 3rd installment never be the best but sometimes the 3rd one be good sometimes they don't but the BMR is a good film it's steel worth watching even though the main villain sucks
