Twenty-five years ago, Edward Jansen was shot and killed by the police in his underground hideout. With him were the bodies of five young girls he had mercilessly tortured and killed. Somehow he's back, and he’s stalking twenty-two-year-old Luke Denham, who until now has led an ordinary life. Luke is forced to place his trust in the hands of the volatile and deeply disturbed Detective Sam Cross to uncover a secret that ultimately shatters Luke's world and brings Sam face-to-face with the demons of her tragic childhood.
