About this movie

Set in New York City at the turn of the last century and based on a true story, Newsies is the rousing tale of Jack Kelly, leader of a ragged band of teenage "newsies" who dream only of a better life far from the hardship of the streets. But when two publishing titans raise distribution prices at the newsboys' expense, Jack finds a cause to fight for. Filmed live at the Pantages Theatre in Hollywood, CA, this high-energy, not-to-be-missed version of the hit Broadway show fills the stage with more "newsies" and dancing than ever before!

Jeremy Jordan is spectacular. His acting will draw you in and unwillingly make you connect to the character. The singing is top notch and the dancing will make you question your own ability to jump and twirl. You may not be able to dance like these guys, but you'll definitely have a fun time watching them do it. Congrats to the Newsies cast on being a part of this movie production.

Inspired by the movie from the 90s, but a story on its own. If you like Broadway musicals then don't miss this one

Although not all of us are muscial people, everyone in the family loved Newsies: The Broadway Musical. It's funny, fast-paced, and studded with upbeat, catchy music genius from Alan Menken and Jack Feldman. The dance numbers (basically the whole show) are spectacular and the acting/singing talent is phenomenal. The way this production was staged and filmed was perfect and easy to follow as a standard film. What's more is that the plot and message of the show is emotional and strong: take a stand, fight for your rights and do what's right. Very enjoyable for the whole family.
