About this movie

An intriguing invitation brings six strangers together. Initially, they think they have gathered for a highly immersive escape room, but they soon make the sickening discovery that they are pawns in a sadistic game of life and death. Together, they move from one terrifying scenario to the next as they find clues and solve puzzles. But the players soon learn that exposing their darkest secrets may hold the key to survive.

Ratings and reviews

There were some interesting turns and visual effects. The way the film was shot kind of deflated areas where suspense could have been maintained or increased. The concept of an escape room is pretty well known but in the film several characters were completely unaware. I didn’t understand why the characters did not voice their ideas audibly rather than pursuing them individually. The one liners were distracting and a bit off putting.

It's RUDE to post a movie review that spoils the movie for others! I've learned not to read them prior. No spoilers here. Definitely set up for a sequel. Leaves you hanging a bit & wanting more investment in the characters (script related). Slowly got to know their backgrounds. With no big name actor/s attached, makes one weary as to whether it's worth seeing. However, actors were great! I will definitely watch the sequel. Last line of the film... "Let's play again."

It was kind of different. They could have done so much more. it had a good twist to it in the end but it was still missing something. would I have paid to see in theaters no I would not but at home random movie night why not.
