About this movie

"Project X" follows three seemingly anonymous high school seniors-Thomas, Costa and J.B.-as they attempt to finally make a name for themselves. Their idea is innocent enough: let's throw a party that no one will forget, and have a camera there, to document history in the making... but nothing could prepare them for this party. Word spreads quickly as dreams are ruined, records are blemished and legends are born. "Project X" is a warning to parents and police everywhere. MPAA Rating: R Rated R for crude and sexual content throughout, nudity, drugs, drinking, pervasive language, reckless behavior and mayhem. © 2012 Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc.

This movie was not terrible but it is far from good. I find it is a more annoying and less funny as the characters develop, yet kept me watching until the end. Really glad I waited for a price drop to buy, if I paid more than 6$ for it I would have been so let down. Also I hate to relate it to Superbad but I couldn't help myself - teens going out to create an awesome party where they will get laid (mentioned a hundred times btw) and so very annoying. Failed to make me Lol once.

On its own, the film is a tad entertaining at first but quickly tries to surpass its own ridiculousness all too often and becomes predictable. Also, the fact that it attempts to comment actual youth behavior is absurd. If anything it provides a model to be emulated rather than a criticism of what teenagers do.

To be clear I'm in highschool right now and can put all comments about how true or realistic the events in this movie are. This movie over exaggerates lots of things. No party gets this out of control. But I do live a more small town area maybe we just have more control over our self's then those who live in the city.
