As everyone prepares for the big party, anchorman Elmo and the Monster News Network provide special on-location reports showing us the New Year's customs and celebrations of Mexico, Japan, Portugal, Israel, Germany, and Norway. As the Count counts down to midnight though, Telly worries about what a brand-new unfamiliar year might bring. But when the moment arrives Telly finds that the New Year just means new fun, new friends, and new surprises!
